Confusion Sets in After Bush Visits Wrong Country

In a bold move that surprised everyone, President Bush paid a visit to Tehran, the capitol of Iran. The visit, under the tightest of security, was planned so that Bush would arrive in the early morning hours at Tehran Airport. Not even Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran knew Bush was coming.

Iranians Caught Off Guard
"It scared the shit out of us," Ahmadinejad said. "We thought they were invading us. They had all these planes and drones and security people. Had we known that Bush was coming we would have stopped enriching uranium or something. As it was, we didn't even have breakfast rolls."

Bush Too Seemed Confused
For his part, Bush also seemed genuinely surprised. "Jeez, for all the bombing we did and the war going on, this place looks great. I never in my wildest imagination expected this. Everybody keeps telling me what a mess this place is what with all the car bombings and crap but this place looks great. We are really making progress. This is really the untold story of the war."

Bush Goes Shopping when Iranian Officials won't MeetIranian Officials Refuse to Meet
When informed that officials of the Iranian government could not meet with him on such short notice, Bush was disappointed. "I had asked my people to set these things up. Hell with what we're paying to support this government, you'd at least expect their President to meet with me," continued Bush.
Instead the President used his time to go shopping in the local bazaars and drink some of the local coffee. "This is a nice place. They seem very civilized, not like what I read in my daily briefings. They have pistachios and all kinds of fruit. Stuff I never expected to see in a desert.

Next Bombing TargetBush Was to Meet Troops
"I'd really like to see some of our troops and say hi but their not around. They must be busy, said Bush."

Next Stop Afghanistan
The President is scheduled to visit Afghanistan, a country he did invade, later today. When asked about the President's apparent confusion between Iraq and Iran, Presidential spokesperson and Foxx anchorman Tawny Snow said "He is not confused. He always intended to invade Iran. It's just that things got lost in translation."
