In another setback to the administration, a senior greeter at Wall Mart said today that company had no intention in becoming involved in the effort to prevent illegal immigration. Administration officials had hoped that Wall Mart would build the world's largest store on the border between Mexico and the United States as a barrier to entry.

The idea, credited to HBO's Bill Maher, involved Wall Mart constructing a store stretching form California all the way to Texas along the border. According to Maher, it would allow Mexicans to enter the store in the rear and work in the store in service jobs while Americans entered from the front and purchased cheap Chinese imports. "It would be like your typical Wall Mart," said Maher, "just maybe a little bigger." Maher thought it was one of his better ideas.
High Wall Mart Official Says No
Instead, a high Wall Mart executive said that the giant retailer was dependent on the help to keep the prices on the Chinese goods low. "How do you think we offer low, low prices everyday? Certainly not by employing young Americans. We sometimes use folks from the South and seniors who don't know any better but that's about it. Besides, we just completed a large store on Alabama. We can't build another mega store that fast. There's no one willing to take the construction jobs except Mexicans."
Wall Mart Store Occupies Entire State
The store she was referrring to is the new Wall Mart that occupies the State of Alabama. That store, the companies largest, covers the entire State of Alabama and has the biggest foot print in the United States since Paul Bunyan and his ox Babe walked across the upper midwest creating the Great Lakes.

It is unclear what new course the administration will take in it's efforts to stem illegal entry into the United States. The idea of a wall has been stymied by the inability to find a "Drug Free" work zone. Despite the offer of "Iraq like" contracts, major US contractors, including Halliburden, have passed on the project. Cheney has been asked to intervene but unnamed sources suggested that the US may turn to China to construct the Great Wall 2.
