Biafra? Speaking before the Restraurant Association in Chicago in a speech carried exclusively on FOXX, President Bush said that it had been a "difficult three years for the starving children of Biafra. And if we don't act, it may be longer. It is going to be a long hard slog and the tearists are going to test our patience," said Bush.
Tearists Responsible for Biafra's Missing Children
The speech at the Restaurant Association was intended to be a major foreign policy address of the administration. "Their destruction can be seen everywhere. Whole phone books full of children have been torn apart by these tearists. They tear apart work places, families, and entire communities. The tearists have no regard for civil society," the President cogently added. "And my administration intends to fight them over there, in places like Biafra, not here at home," the President added in an emotionly charged speech. "I can remember as a child saving my pennies and cleaning my plate just to help the starving children of Biafra. To this day, I can't leave anything on my plate without hearing my mother's voice saying 'Clean your plate. There are starving children in Biafra'," Bush said.
Biafra the Cornerstone of New Bush Foreign Policy
The plight of the Biafran children has been a cornerstone of the Bush administration since yesterday. Tawny Snow, presidential spokeperson, continued to insist that the President's recent preoccupation with the starving children of Biafra was not intended to distract the public's attention away from the war in Iraq. "Why would we do that?" asked Snow. "The war effort is proceeding unabated. We have the tearists on the run," he added. "The President's commitment to diplomacy, pursueing tearism as a foreign policy tool and helping the plight of the starving children in Biafra is key to defending America's future," Snow said. "The President has decided to do this and he is the 'decider'. Once he decides to do something, like Biafra, he decides," emphasized Snow.
Administration at Loss to Explain Missing Biafrans
When Snow was asked why the administration was focusing on a country in Africa that was erased off the map in 1970, he had "no comment." Meanwhile it has come to light that oil was indeed discovered in the Nigerian delta in the late 1960's. This was just about the time Biafra disappeared as a country. Biafra occupied the Nigerian delta from 1967 to 1970.
Speech Was Foxx Exclusive
The speech was the 1,137th carried exclusively on FOXX. Separately, FOXX studios chief Peter Chernin announced a new news program on FOXX News called "He Decides, We Follow." It will be hosted by sometime FOXX News guest Mar Eliason.
